K-pop or the attack of the clones!

I specify : I have nothing against k-pop on the contrary! I listen to Backpink on repeat!

For those who don’t know, k-pop means Korean pop! The most famous groups of k-pop are BTS for the boys and Blackpink for the girls!

There is a visible « sparkle » part, success, money, beauty… And the there are some dark sides including the one I’m talking about today : plastic surgery!

One more time, nothing mean to these groups but what bothers me is that when you look the photos of these groups… we get the impression to see clones!

Look to this photo of the group &TEAM :

It is clear that these 9 boys look alike! It looks like clones except for a few details! They all have the same nose (certainly obtained by rhinoplasty), the same baby skin ( I confess I would like to have a skin like that), the same youthful face (the youngest has 16 et and the « oldest » has 25 years old)…

I would would add they are quite womanish ( too much to my taste but each his own taste)!

And here, a photo of the « TWICE » group! Same thing!

The problem is general but I find it so sad! Every human being has his/her own personality and his/her own beauty! Above all, all these idols are very young and serve as a model for « ordinary » young people!

After Shakira, Miley Cyrus! It seems to be fashionable for the female singers to release a song about their exes!

In this song, Miley Cyrus refers to her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth! However, the tone is different from Shakira. Miley delivers us an ode to self love!

Basically, she tells us that she doesn’t need a man to love herself and that is a wonderful message!

I love the voice and the talent of Miley but… Does she really need to show off her body during all of the clip? Miley is already a star so, in my humble opinion, she doesn’t need to show off to sell her music! Ok, she has a perfect body (Jealous me? A little I confess) but…

Just keep the main post : we don’t need one partner to get well!

I have spoken previously, the singer Shakira released a song dedicated to her ex Gerard Piqué and his new girlfriend Clara (who he cheated her with)!

She is not the first singer to reveal her broken heart in song (Hello Beyoncé) but now her song in on trend! We can find many punchlines in the song but two of them are now famous : « You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo » and « You traded a Rolex for a Casio« .

Beyond the message of an angry woman (I understand), she compares herself to a Rolex, in other words a luxury item. In France, a publicist called Jacques Séguéla said in 2009 : « si à 50 ans tu n’as pas de Rolex, tu as raté ta vie ». Translated in english « if at 50, you don’t have a Rolex, you have failed your life »… No comment!This sentence was extremely provocative! To have a Rolex is a synonym of luxury and success. I don’t even dare to look at the prices but clearly the majority of people (including me) will never be able to have one in their life.

That said, a Rolex it is… A watch! A luxury watch yes, but a watch ! So a Casio can be as well! That is the message of Gerard Piqué who got sponsored by… Casio rightly!

So, when Shakira compares herself to a Rolex, we can see it as pretension by comparing herself to a luxury watch or we can see it as awareness of her self-value despite the cheating!

So are you team Rolex or team Casio?

Navalny or the slow death!

I have already spoken of Navalny (in French sorry), the most important critic of Poutine and the news is not good! Germany ask Russia for medical care « immediately » for the opponent because he has health problems.

As a reminder, Navalny was victim of poisoning attempt in 2020 and the jail where he is detained is sadly renowned for terrible terms! His lawyer denounces the lack of basic drugs and even the difficulty for him to have « a lot more » of hot water! Many doctors expressed « great concerns for life and health » of Navalny!

One more time, we need to acknowledge his extraordinary physical and mental resistance after everything he’s been through!

Prince Harry’s book came out in bookstores and we are entitled to revelations very important : No, I am joking!

This dear Harry told us his first love night with Meghan (We don’t care), his frozen penis at the Kate and William wedding ( due to a polar expedition) (We don’t care), his first time…

According to the extracts in the press ( I don’t want to pay to read this book neither in English nor in French), Prince Harry does what he does « best » since Megxit : complaining again and again!

Yes, he lost his mother (princess Diana) at a very young age and that is sad but it is not a reason to set on fire the house (royal) he grew up!

Everything is said in the title « Spare »! In France, we said it is « le choix du roi » (literally King’s choice) when a couple have a girl and a boy! But we don’t have a King anymore! That said, the value of a person doesn’t depend on the order of arrival in a family! Harry shrinks himself to this fonction « spare » and that is a pity!

Bienvenue en 2023 mais Noël me manque! Depuis le Covid, Noel a perdu de sa magie! Ça me manque de voir toutes ses jolies lumières qui permettent d’oublier pendant quelques secondes le monde de fous dans lequel nous vivons! Novembre et Décembre sont mes deux mois préférés dans l’année mais c’est la première fois que je suis aussi nostalgique au mois de Janvier. Peut-être que c’était parce que c’est mon premier Noel en étant séparée du père de ma fille et que je fonde beaucoup d’espoir sur le prochain Noel! Le fait que mon grand-père ait eu des soucis de santé à la fois à Noel et au réveillon a donné à ce Noel 2022 une saveur amère, un goût d’inachevé!

Pourtant, cette nouvelle année s’annonce pleine de promesses…

Welcome in 2023 but I miss Christmas! Since Covid, Christmas has lost a part of magic! I miss all those pretty lights which enable to forget for some seconds the crazy world we lived in! November and December are my two favorites months in the year but it is the first time that I’m so nostalgic in January. Maybe it’s because it was my first Christmas while being separated from the father of my daughter and I build a lot of hope in the next Christmas! The fact that my grand-father had health problems at the same time in Christmas and in Christmas Eve give to this Christmas 2022 a bitter taste, a taste of unfinished…

Welcome to my blog! My name is Maria, I’m French and this is my first chronicle in English! It is a new challenge for me to write in English so please excuse me si my english is far from being perfect! I will progress as things progress!

Let me introduce myself : My name is Maria (Marie in real life), I am 36, I live in France near Lyon.

I am separated from the father of my daughter (8 year old).

I love writing which is why I created this blog in 2021, I write about a lot of subjects : beauty, people (Harry and Meghan among others), social issues and whatever goes through my head!

My english is far from perfect (french people are generally not gifted to learn other langages) but I will progress!
